A note from the Blue Riband Council’s inaugural chair

Dear Friend of the SS United States: 

On July 1, 2010, I made a commitment to support the SS United States at the Conservancy’s National Flagship Celebration.  On that evening in Philadelphia, hundreds of Americans from all walks of life came together to honor this great ocean liner’s legacy and pledge ongoing support in the effort to “save our ship.”  Just before her fading stacks were illuminated, I told those gathered that this ship is worth keeping and worth saving; she is still the most majestic ship afloat…

Please join me in this important national effort.  Consider joining me as a member of the Conservancy’s Blue Riband Council by making a sizable, tax-deductible gift.  Doing so is a historic way to make a positive impact on future generations of visitors to this great ship.
